What is Quota?
A TRQ license is for a "closed" quota and will allow you to import a certain quantity of goods at a reduced rate of Customs duty. The reduced duty rate will apply to the quantity specified on the license for a certain period.
License Application
Before a quota period has started HMRC will detail the quantity available to apply for. We will submit your quota application during the first seven days of the month before the beginning of the quota.
License Issuing
Your import license will be issued electronically by the end of the month in which the application was received. We will notify you by email when your license
becomes available.
License Usage
We will keep track of your license usage to ensure 100% of the license is used in the validity period. This will then allow HMRC to release back your security deposit on the license.
