Updates to High-RIsk Food and Feed of Non-Animal Origin

The Food Standards Agency has advised that the list of products classed as high-risk food and feed of non-animal origin will be amended from 18th December 2024.
New listings in ANNEX I (requires a CHED-D and commercial documents only)
3 products associated with hazelnuts from Georgia (mixture of nuts, hazelnut paste and hazelnut oil).
Basil from Israel.
Mint from Israel.
Fenugreek leaves from India.
Yardlong beans from India.
Mukunuwenna from Sri Lanka.
Groundnuts paste from Madagascar.
Grapefruits from Türkiye.
Sesamum seeds from Türkiye.
Tahini and halva from Sesamum.
New listings in ANNEX II (requires a CHED-D, original health certificate, test report(s) and commercial documents)
Groundnut paste from Argentina.
Delisted products (will not be subject to checks for arrivals from 18th Dec 2024)
Groundnuts from Brazil for pesticide residues.
Products subject to enhanced controls
Tea from China will require a health certificate and test results from China.
Sesamum seeds from India frequency of identity and physical checks is increasing for Salmonella.
Products subject to reduced controls
Guar Gum from India will move from Annex II to Annex I so will no longer require a health certificate and test results from India.
Nutmeg from India will move from Annex II to Annex I so will no longer require a health certificate or test report from India.
Peppers of the genus Capsicum (sweet or other than sweet) (dried, roasted, crushed or ground) from India.
Sesamum seeds from India.
